- Kenya is a country in Eastern Africa, bordering the Indian Ocean, between Somalia and Tanzania.
- It has a population of approximately 44 million people.
- Kenya’s natural beauty and wildlife draws many tourists each year.
- In the midst of this beauty, many of Kenya's residents live in poverty with few opportunities for income and over the past several years, violence and a heavy decline in tourism have limited those opportunities even more.
What We're Doing
Trades of Hope partners with this group of talented artisans by helping them sell their products made with local materials. This unique workshop provides job training and employment for 150 artisans with physical disabilities. The artisans who create these products are provided a regular income, medical benefits, housing and a school for their children. By being a part of this group they are able to earn an income for themselves and their families in a dignified way.
